Catcher in the Rye, Post 2

Well, that entire scene where Holden and Stradlater was oddly funny in my opinion. From the beginning, when Holden missed Stradlater, trying to punch him, to Holden going so far as basically playing dead and not moving after Stradlater hitting him. Stradlater got so scared that Holden might tell on him, and he wouldn't graduate or something. His worry honestly just entertained me. Like Holden, I've decided that I don't so much like Stradlater. He's a bad, ungrateful friend who seems to be nice off the bat, but in reality, I don't think he is. But, the funniest part of the entire situation, was when Holden thought it was a good idea to go seek comfort with Ackley. It was obvious from the very beginning of Ackley entering the story that he was a disgusting, rude, unlikable mess. And the fact that Holden thought going to him was a good idea is ridiculous.  But, Holden left to go to a hotel for a few days. It strikes me that I'm approaching page 100 and he'd only described one night. I'm thinking the main conflict will most likely occur in the hotel. But, I'm still wondering/hoping that Jane will show up again. Holden seems so sweet on her, she must. That's my thoughts for now.
